M4 to Junction 24. Take the A449 (3rd exit) towards Monmouth. After 8 or so miles, take the A40 towards Abergavenny. Straight over the roundabout in Raglan (interesting castle ruins on your right), following the A40 still. At the large, double roundabout outside Abergavenny, come back round on yourself and take the A465 towards Hereford. After 3 miles, take the (first) left turning, signposted Mardy. Immediately pass under a railway bridge and after 1/3 of a mile, turn right up the hill at a small country crossroads (it comes on you very quickly, just past the garden centre), signposted Bettws. Follow this lane uphill through a couple of dog legs to a T-junction at the top. Turn right. After 1/2 mile, go past the Crown Inn and almost immediately bear left at the fork (by Baillie’s garage). Up and down the hill. After a mile, you come into Bettws. Just passed the village sign, turn right down a lane between a cottage and the small church. Follow the lane. After 150m, there is a white farmhouse on your left. Far House Cottage is to the right of the house, through the gate,
