There are innumerable ways to entertain yourself in the 522 sq mile Brecon Beacons National Park. We do a lot of walking and mountain biking (and we are happy to suggest walks and rides and lend you what maps you don't have) but there is also: fishing, golf, pony-trekking and horse riding, paragliding, canoeing, sailing, caving and hawking. The cottage is quiet, yet it is ten minutes from Abergavenny. The owners live in the farmhouse next door, but this in no way encroaches on the privacy of the house.
